Hill has discovered that she can make noise. This was the scene in our house last night when Kyle got home from work. I'm not sure if she's laughing or screaming but I love the sound either way.

Check Out My Hat
My mom found one of my old bonnets and we tried it on Hill this past weekend. Pretty cute if I do say so myself!

Happy Father's Day
We had a great time visiting Kyle's family this past weekend! Hill was a trooper during the 3 hour drive, but she is a Central Time Zone kind of girl and that hour change threw us all off a little bit. Baby girl was thoroughly entertained all weekend by her Nonna and Bee Bop as well as Aunt Claire, Aunt Carrie and Uncle Mark. She was especially excited to visit with her cousins Sarah, Griffin and Owen. They were all so sweet to her! Hill tried to be really creative with Kyle's gift and give him something that was meaningful that he could actually use. For this to make sense, please refer to this previous post http://lynleeh.blogspot.com/2008/04/sea-horse-or-giraffe-whatever.html
Thank you Vineyard Vines!
And finally, I want to say that I am so blessed to have such a wonderful family of men who are all the best fathers they can be. I truly believe that a father is the first example to a daughter of how she should expect and want to be treated by men. My dad set a high standard for Kyle and as far as Hill's future husband is concerned, well, bless his heart. Every night before we go to sleep, Kyle says "Have I told you how much I love Hill?" Yes Kyle, every day, every night, you're slightly obsessed ;-) Happy Father's Day

Water Bug
Kyle and I decided we should get Hill a baby pool for this summer. Kyle got bored on Saturday and made it his mission to find a pool, so he packed up little bit and headed out. I was excited to have a little time in the house by myself since I assumed they were headed to wal-mart or target, neither one of which is right around the corner. Well, 10 minutes later they came back home after going to Homewood Toy and Hobby (right down the street)with a wham doozy of a baby pool. I should have known that Kyle would get suckered into overspending on a seasonal item that we probably won't even be able to use next year. Anyway, it is a great pool with all of these attachments and Hill loves it!!! She can't sit on her own yet so she flops around in it like a fish out of water. There is another new post after this one...

Zoo
Mom and I took Hill to the zoo last week, hence my monkey picture from the previous post. Here are some pictures of my little monkey. Did I mention that it was about 500 degrees outside!

Bathingsuit Blues
I meant to post this before we went to the beach for memorial day...
Note to Self:
1. Do not wait 'til the day before you go to the beach to go swimsuit shopping
2. Do not wait 'til the day before you go to the beach to decide that a 20 pound weight loss is necessary
3. Do not take take a baby that starts crying every time you close the dressing room door
4. It is not realistic to try on the size you were before you were pregnant
5. Bikini's are a joke
6. They do not make swimsuits for short waisted people
7. They do not make 2 piece swimsuit sets that are a large on the top and a small on the bottom
8. Do not call your husband crying (he might come home from work thinking that something is seriously wrong with you)
9. Do not get upset when he offers to start a plastic surgery fund (that's what boys do, they look for solutions to things)
10. Finally, when the dust has settled and you're not crying anymore and your husband realizes that you aren't suicidal but just being a little dramatic; brush it off when he jokes that the lady who works at the front desk at the YMCA keeps asking him where you've been. (I'm not laughing!)
And because I am not going to post a picture of myself in a bathing suit, I'll post a picture that I took today at the zoo. It does the job.
