As Long As He's Healthy

This is such a random post since I know it's been FOREVER since I've blogged, but I just had to get this off my chest. I just saw a post on Facebook proclaiming thankfulness for a healthy baby and it just made me think about how many times before Leeland was born that I gave the "as long as he's healthy" response. Man, what a dumb thing to say. Normally it came out of me trying to be polite  to the old lady in the grocery store.
Old lady (While trying to touch my belly) - You look like you're about to pop
Me - um, no mam, I just took the pregnancy test yesterday
Old lady - Is it a boy or girl?
Me -  Like I said, I'm only 10 weeks, but apparently fat as a cow. We don't know the gender yet, but as long as it's healthy we don't care.
Stupid, stupid, stupid!
Well,"healthy" sure would have made things a lot easier, but it in no way affects the thankfulness or amount of love we have for this precious baby.  My apologies to anyone I gave the "as long as he's healthy" response to.  Whew, I feel better now!  Soooo much to update on, but that'll have to wait
